APJ Abdul Kalam came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology.

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was an aerospace scientist who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu and studied physics and aerospace

Anayah Qayyum is currently a Junior at Colonia High School and is in her second year of Journalism. She descends from a pure Pakistani household but was born and raised in New Jersey. In addition, Qayyum has two younger brothers and is very close to her family. Qayyum is part of the Marching Patriots family and enjoys working in a group environment. She appreciates reading about people's opinions and writing about them on The Declaration.  Overall, Qayyum enjoys writing and spending her time with the Declaration.
